Our collaborative care model includes your providers, our behavioral health specialists and our consulting physiatrists. Together, they develop a holistic treatment plan for the patient. By integrating primary care and mental health services, a collaborative care model provides more affordable, efficient, patient-centered care.

Our behavioral health specialists have completed specialized training in mental health. We understand that practices have different needs depending on their patients, and we have experts in pediatric, adult and senior care.

Yes. In addition to providing psychiatric services at your office, our specialists also offer tele-counseling.

The advising psychiatrist can help guide the direction of diagnosis, treatment and prescription medications.

We work with a range of medical practices in Virginia and beyond, including primary care, pediatrics, senior living facilities and specialties such as nephrology, gastroenterology, cardiology and more.

We also work with employer programs to improve mental health outcomes for employees and their families. Additionally, we are dedicated to improving internal mental health systems and software, which is why we also work with accountable care organizations.

Our behavioral health specialists work with patients with a broad range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, schizophrenia and more. We also see patients who are navigating chronic pain and significant life changes, such as the loss of a family member, a divorce or a recent new health diagnosis.

Our mental health specialists are not able to treat substance abuse issues at this time. We will refer these patients to a substance abuse specialist.

This can lead to improved overall health outcomes and increased productivity. While there are costs involved in implementing and sustaining a collaborative care model, the potential cost savings and improved outcomes over time make it a worthwhile approach for delivering cost-effective mental health services.

Managing your behavioral health services should be easier, not harder. Our management system and software tools provide an unparalleled platform for efficient screening, monitoring and management.

Billing is cumulative over one month, and some insurance companies will require the patient to pay a co-pay for each visit just as they would for a PCP visit. For example, Medicare patients will need to pay a co-pay each time.

As of January 1, 2018, services using the Psychiatric Collaborative Care Model should be reported using CPT codes 99492, 99493 and 99494. CPT code 99484 (General BHI) should be used to bill services that use other models of BHI care.

Allied BHI covers the cost of professional liability of our psychiatrists and behavioral health specialists.

Allied BHI rebates back any fees paid during the reconciliation process 90 days after the claim is submitted. We will not invoice the billing provider until the claims have cleared.
